Reading the cards

Each card shows the contamination concern level for a food across several categories. The bars are not direct measurements; they represent relative concern based on peer-reviewed studies and regulatory monitoring data. A longer bar means higher documented concern.

Two bars appear for each contaminant: the lighter bar shows the organic baseline, the darker bar shows conventional. The gap between them shows how much buying organic reduces exposure.

The letter grade reflects the overall conventional contamination burden. Tap any row to expand the explanation and source link.
